The Triumph was rapidly racing towards the military side of the airport. Two armed security guards stationed at the entrance stopped patrolling and looked off into the distance at the cycle. As fate would have it, there was no traffic in front of Ross and Lin. It appeared to the guards that the motorcycle was gaining ground at an incredible rate of speed. Suddenly, the startled security guards looked at each other. They frantically decided in unison to unsling their machine guns. But it was too late. Ross twisted open the throttle of the Triumph and hunched down in the seat. Lin realized what was happening and buried her head into Ross's back clutching him for dear life. There was a hinged wooden barricade blocking the airport entrance. Ross closed his eyes and lowered his head. Then all hell broke loose.
